Coco Rocha Teaches Seth Meyers How to Pose Like a Model
Posted on November 5, 2014
Supermodel Coco Rocha is known for her amazing poses and fantastic walk. Her background as a dancer certainly helps. She has a new book out which showcases Coco in a white leotard doing 1,000 different poses.
The book, called Study of Pose, was photographed by Steven Sebring using a special 360 degree camera. The poses range from basic modeling poses to dance poses, to recreations of iconic pop stars' moves to dramatic and theatrical poses. Coco smiles, pouts, jumps sits, stands and leaps with great energy and style throughout the pages. The photos are in black and white and are set in a beautifully bound hardcover book that would make an amazing holiday gift for any art or fashion lover. The interactive version of the beautiful coffee table book by HarperDesign will be available soon.
Coco was a guest on Late Night With Seth Meyers to talk about the book. Meyers naturally wanted to learn how to do some of the poses. Coco did not name the poses, they just have numbers from 1 to 1,000. She joked that she did that intentionally so that writers like Seth could come up with the names. He, of course, was making up appropriate names on the spot. Coco looked lovely in a black and cream print dress and sky high black stilettos. Coco and her husband James Conran are expecting their first child this spring, which makes her lively posing all the more impressive.
So, could Seth make it as a model? Um, probably not. But that pose he did to fend off unwanted suitors at a high school dance was hilarious. We do think he should name the rest of the poses in the book.
