Year After Coca-Cola Blak Comes Coca-Cola with Coffee

Coca Cola has a new beverage on the way. It's called Coca-Cola Blak and it will taste somewhat like coffee. The beverage will launch in France in January 2006 before the global rollout.
Marc Mathieu, vice president of global core brands for Coca Cola, says in a statement, "We believe we have created a new category of soft drink - an adult product in a carbonated beverage - and a whole new drinking experience. This brand is ideal for any part of the day when people are looking for renewed energy or simply to take a break."
Brian Tracey notes that the arrival of Blak follows the recent canning of Vanilla Coke.
Coca-Cola says in its press announcement that the drink will be in a can, and be a sort of fizzy soft-drink/coffee hybrid. Which is pretty odd, if you ask us. Still, we'll try one, just on the off-chance it tastes good. But we're not thrilled that it's a "mid-calorie" drink. Either make it a diet drink, or go all out with the calories and taste. That's the way we see it.
Coca-Cola Blak didn't last but now (2021) they are back with a new coffee Coke beverage. It is called simply, Coca-Cola with Coffee.
