Chick-fil-A Adds Kale and Broccolini to Its Menu

Chick-fil-A has added kale and broccolini to its menu. The side menu offering was created in collaboration with Chef Ford Fry, an Atlanta-based chef and James Beard Award nominee.
The fast food chain calls the new menu offering a Superfood Side. It is made with a blend of hand-chopped kale and Broccolini that is tossed in a sweet and tangy maple vinaigrette dressing. The side is topped with sour cherries and served with a roasted nut blend of walnuts, almonds and pecans.
Chef Fry said in a statement, "I really enjoyed working with the culinary team from Chick-fil-A on incorporating ingredients that are unique to the industry. We know that it can be challenging to eat healthy on-the-go, so we wanted to create something that customers will love eating that's also nutritious."
The Superfood Side has 140 calories and 7 grams of fat in the 5 oz. portion and 170 calories and 8 grams of fat in the 8 oz. portion. The side costs $2.59 for the 5 oz. serving and $3.79 for the 8 oz. option. It is also available as a combo meal substitution for an extra 94 cents.
