Chick-fil-A Adds Frosted Coffee Beverage Made With Thrive Cold-Brewed Ice Coffee
Posted on March 10, 2016
Chick-fil-A is adding a new beverage treat called Frosted Coffee. It is made by combining the chain's vanilla Icedream with Thrive Farmers cold-brewed ice coffee.
Chick-fil-A says Frosted Coffee has less calories than a milkshake. It has 240 calories at the smallest serving, 14-ounces. It will arrive in Chick-fil-A locations starting on March 14. A 14-ounce will cost $2.69 and a large 20-ounce will cost $2.69.
Chick-fil-A partnered with Thrive Farmers for iced coffee in 2014. The coffee grounds are infused with cool, filtered water and steeped for up to 24 hours. Chick-fil-A says it never heats up the coffee which is the proper technique for making the best iced coffee.
Amanda Norris, senior director of menu development for Chick-fil-A, says in the announcement, "We're excited to offer customers a new, great-tasting frosted beverage just in time for spring. Our guests let us know how much they've enjoyed Frosted Lemonade, and we think they'll love Frosted Coffee just as much when they're seeking a delicious, light treat."
