Charlize Theron is back for the new J'Adore Dior fragrance campaign. She wears a gorgeous gold Dior dress that was designed specifically for the fragrance campaign. Charlize also has a short blond hairstyle.
Charlize also wore a gold dress in the 2011 J'Adore short film. The dress for the new campaign was constructed out of chiffon, tulle and silk organza. The dress is covered in golden beads which were applied by hand. People Stylewatch says it took 750 hours for the beads to be sewn onto the dress.
Charlize says in a Dior interview that "there was something about this dress that wasn't structured to the body but yet had beautiful lines to it - very slimming lines." She also says, "There was something dancer-esque about it." Charlize says she was also excited to work with Jean-Baptiste Mondino again.
In the short film, Charlize removes her heels and climbs a silk rope to the top of a building with a Pantheon-like opening at the ceiling. Near the top Charlize throws off her gold bead necklace and the beads scatter on the floor beneath her. When Charlize emerges from the building and climbs on the roof she sees a futuristic looking golden city. Charlize says, "The future is gold."
The J'Adore fragrance has also been given a new bottle. The gold bottle was designed to resemble a figure eight. Dior says the bottle also pays homage to the female body.
