Carl's Jr. Claims Hit With Kate Upton Ad Campaign

Carl's Jr. says is claiming a hit with its Kate Upton campaign for its Southwest Patty Melt. Carl's Jr. says the campaign eclipses its Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian and Padma Lakshmi campaigns.
The timing - with Kate covering the Sport's Illustrated swimsuit issue - worked out well for the fast food chain. Kate is about to bite into a burger in a still from the campaign above. She appears to be enjoying Carl's Jr. food while at a Drive-In movie theater in the retro styled ad.
Brad Haley, chief marketing officer for Carl's Jr. and Hardee's, says, "With Kate, we knew she was a hot young model and was, after all, Rookie of the Year in last year's swimsuit issue, but we didn't know that she would be on the cover this year when we filmed her. Her meteoric rise, once the cover of SI was announced, has made everything she touches something that our target of 'young, hungry guys' has to get their hands on, including the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's Southwest Patty Melt she so clearly enjoys in the commercial."
A still from the ad can be found on IMDB.
