Cara Delevingne Covers W Magazine in Heart-Shaped Saint Laurent Coat

Posted on June 12, 2016

Actress and model Cara Delevingne graces the cover of the June-July 2016 issue of W magazine. She's covered in a heart-shaped coat and wearing red tights. The cover was photographed by Mario Sorrenti with styling by Edward Enninful.

The heart-shaped coat is from Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent Fall 2016 collection. Vogue has a photograph of it on the runway here. The red tights are by Fogal of Switzerland.

In the interview, Cara talks about her upcoming role as Enchantress in Suicide Squad. She says she dreamed of being male superheroes as a little girl. She says, "I went through different stages: I was a few Spice Girls for a while-first Baby, then Sporty, and then Ginger. I was never Posh, because she wore little black dresses, and I didn't want to be that kind of girl. Beyond that, I only dreamed of being male superheroes. Spider-Man, especially, had a cool costume and cool toys. There were not many strong superhero-type women, apart from Wonder Woman-but I didn't want to be a 5-year-old running around in, like, a bikini."

Cara also stars in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets which is directed by Luc Besson. We love science fiction so we will be watching this movie. Cara is keeping the plot a secret. Cara says, "That plot is a secret, too. More is known about my life than the lives of the characters I play. My plan is to reverse that."

Cara also revealed she was "obsessed with blood and death" as a child. She says, "This sounds really dark, but my earliest memory is of cutting myself. I was pretending to shave like my dad. One time, I covered my face in shaving foam, and I got his razor and ran it along the bottom of my finger and nearly cut it off."
