Disney Launches Big Hero 6 Toys

Posted on November 5, 2014

Disney has announced its line of Big Hero 6 toys and merchandise. The Big Hero 6 movie arrives in theaters this weekend. It could be Disney's next big hit. If it is a hit then some of these new toys will quickly become hot holiday items.

The lead toy in the line is the Deluxe Flying Baymax. Baymax is the robot in the movie. The Baymax toy is 11-inches tall and has a 18-inch wingspan. It has lights, sounds and 20 points of articulation. The Baymax toy also has a rocket fist that launches. Take a look:

There is a smaller Hiro Hamada toy that comes with the Deluxe Flying Baymax. The toy retails for $39.99. A smaller 6-inch Baymax toy, Armor-Up Baymax, costs $19.99.

A unique Baymax item is the SFX Baymax, which is a 10-inch vinyl doll with a projector in its belly. It costs $29.99. The Disney Store will also carry a cuddly stuffed Baymax doll for $19.95. There are also 11-inch GoGo Tamago and Honey Lemon dolls.

There is also the Baymax Rocket Fist ($24.95) which launches its soft foam fist up to 10 feet with sound effects. There are two types of Big Hero 6 Masks available at $9.99 each. Other items include iPhone cases, MacBook sleeves, PJs a bed set, a baseball cap and a backpack.

Disney's Frozen was released a little in November last year. It became a huge hit, but there wasn't much time for the Frozen toys to sell before the holidays. Disney ended releasing an expanded line of Frozen toys this year, including the hot Elsa doll.

If Big Hero Six is a huge hit we won't be surprised if Disney has an animatronic Baymax toy launched next year. Most of the Big Hero Six toy line is available now at major retailers. The plush 15-inch Baymax is sold at the Disney Store. A line of tees is sold only at The Children's Place and Target is the only place you can find the Baymax Baseball Cap.
