The Best Places to Hide Christmas Presents
Posted on December 6, 2011
Many people are buying Christmas gifts early this year, because of all the sales. Early presents mean many people have to find good hiding presents for the gifts. The Wall Street Journal's Sue Shellenbarger says people are going to extreme lengths to hide gifts as the holidays approach. Sue says people are hiding presents in some really odd places.
One woman taped a CD to the top of the toilet tank. This worked well until the toilet exploded, ruining the CD (and no, we have no idea why this would cause a toilet to explode). Many people are shipping gifts to their offices, which annoys some employers. Others don't seem to mind. She says that many people are even wrapping their presents in the break rooms at offices.
One woman hid an expensive pair of Oakley sunglasses inside her computer tower at work (no word if this made her computer explode like the toilet incident.)
Other hiding places Sue has heard of are the car's spare tire compartment, the sofa cushions (that sound like a terrible hiding place), and up the chimney (only if it's a non-working fireplace).Sue said be sure to make a list of your hiding places, which makes good sense. If you're going to ship gifts to your office, make sure your employer doesn't mind.
