Baskin-Robbins Launches Camouflage Ice Cream for Veterans Day
Posted on November 6, 2014
Baskin-Robbins has launched a new ice cream flavor for Veterans Day. The new flavor, called First Class Camouflage, is part of a campaign to raise money for the United Service Organizations (USO). Baskin-Robbins will donate 10 cents from every scoop sold on Veterans Day, November 11th.
Baskin-Robbins did a great job matching the military camouflage colors with the new flavor. First Class Camouflage is a combination of Chocolate, Salty Caramel and Cake-flavored ice cream. The ice cream company says the new flavor is so delicious that "you'll never see it coming."
The new flavor can be purchased in a cup or a cone. There is also a special Camouflage Waffle Cone which also has the green, brown and tan camouflage coloring. A sundae version of the new ice cream includes caramel, hot fudge, whipped cream and Oreo cookie pieces.
Bill Mitchell, the president of Baskin-Robbins in the U.S. and Canada, previously served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Mitchell says in a statement, "We're excited to honor our military service members and veterans this November through our long-standing partnership with the USO, and hope our guests will join our efforts in supporting the USO on Veterans Day when we will make a donation for every scoop of ice cream sold in our U.S. restaurants to the organization."
First Class Camouflage is also Baskin-Robbins' flavor of the month for November.
