Barack Obama Spotted Using a Zune

Apple fanboys have been shocked by the news that President-elect Barack Obama owns a Zune. They believed him to be a die-hard Mac user which he cannot be if he owns a Zune. The Microsoft Zune is not compatible with Macs. Maybe the President-Elect just wants to be different?
The news was first reported in the Philadelphia City Paper. Gizmodo writer Matt Buchanan was shocked and disturbed by the report.
After all of the misinformation and dirty lies spread about Obama over the course of the presidential campaign, this is the most shocking I've heard about him: He uses a Zune. This can't be possible.Gizmodo's Matt Buchanan also said, "Is the world even real? Hold me." It's not the end of the world if Obama uses a Zune. The City Paper is now referring to the incident as ZuneGate and says they aren't 100% positive it was Obama's Zune.Why? Because, as has been widely reported, Obama, many of his staffers and Joe Biden use a Mac. And well, Zunes don't work on Macs and ... my mind is blown.
I want to correct what I said yesterday about Obama using a Zune. I claimed that it was his Zune. I don't know for sure that it was his. It could belong to one of the many Secret Service dudes that were at the gym, Michelle, or even one of his daughters. His headphones were not the standard iPod headphones, rather ones that wrap around your ear like the image to the right. The headphones were gray colored, either because they were gray or because they were really worn from use.The WSJ's Business Technology blog says Obama might own both an iPod and a Zune.
Microsoft is probably ecstatic and hoping the news that Obama uses a Zune could inspire a new generation of Zune fanboys. A spokesperson for Microsoft has already jumped on ZuneGate and what is clearly terrific news for the music player saying, "Clearly the president elect has great taste."
