Anne Hathaway Talks Interstellar and Mom Jeans With Harper's Bazaar
Posted on October 13, 2014
Actress Anne Hathaway graces the cover of the November 2014 issue of Harper's Bazaar. This is the magazine's Daring issue. Anne is blowing you a kiss on the cover. She wears a red Giorgio Armani Prive dress with Cartier earrings and red lipstick on the cover.
Anne's next film is a science fiction adventure Interstellar from Christopher Nolan. The film involves the discovery of a wormhole. It co-stars Matthew McConaughey and Jessica Chastain.
Anne says in the interview that McConaughey is the most daring man she knows. She says, "He never judged himself along the way, and it's all come together for him so wholly and deeply. He is totally himself."
Anne told Harper's Bazaar that she decided to stop being a vegan in Iceland. She was in Iceland for a few weeks for Interstellar and she had to wear a 40-pound spacesuit. Anne plays a NASA astronaut in the film. She says she wasn't feeling healthy or strong and a costar suggested they "try everything" when they were at a restaurant. She ate first that was fresh from a nearby stream and she felt better the very next day.
Anne also discusses her fashion style and Oscar dresses in the interview. She talked about the Amanda Seyfried dressgate incident and the Prada gown she ended up wearing to the 2013 Oscars that garnered comments she looked pointy. Anne also talked about being more daring now - so daring that she wears mom jeans in public.
Anne says, "I am getting more daring now-I'll wear my mom jeans in public that haven't been tailored 'just so' yet, just because they feel good. For a long time I was afraid of the harsh things people would say about me, but I might as well be happy."
