Alicia Vikander Wears Custom Louis Vuitton Gown to 2016 Oscars

Swedish born actress Alicia Vikander had an incredible night at the Oscars. She looked beautiful in a pale yellow taffeta gown which featured elaborate crystal detailing and a gorgeous bubble hemline. The gown was custom made for Alicia by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton.
Alicia's gown had some viewers thinking of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. When told of the Twitter comments by E! Alicia was thrilled. She says she has always wanted to be Belle. The gown did not photograph as well as it looked in person and on film. The hemline was beautiful. Alicia, a ballet dancer, made the most of that bubble hem as she walked -- she was very graceful and elegant. Her shows were silver leather sandals that featured a slim ankle strap and five inch lucite block heels.
Alicia won Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Danish Girl. In her acceptance speech she thanked her co-star Eddie Redmayne profusely telling him, "Eddie, there you are. Thank you for being the best acting partner. I could have never done it without you...you raised my game." She also thanked her parents, who accompanied her to the Oscars. She told them, "Thank you for giving me the belief that anything can happen even though I would have never believed this. Thank you!"
